The first weekend of May, Vitoria-Gasteiz and its surroundings will be bustling with activities. The Abetxuko festivities will kick off from Friday to Sunday, offering music and a lively atmosphere. On Friday, the Orquesta Natatxe will perform, and on Saturday, Joselu Anayak will entertain the public.
Combining culture and commerce, the Almond Market will take place on Saturday in the heart of Vitoria-Gasteiz's medieval quarter, from 10:30 to 15:00. This initiative aims to promote trade, culture, and leisure. Additionally, the viewpoint of the San Vicente bell tower will be open from Friday to Sunday, offering panoramic views of the city.
For wine enthusiasts, the town of Villabuena de Álava will host a new edition of the Villabuena Wine Fest on Saturday. This wine tourism event will feature 18 wineries and three hospitality establishments, offering wine, gastronomy, and various proposals. Regarding musical offerings, the Mezcla Woman Metal Fest will bring together three local bands on Saturday at Urban Rock Concept, and at Le Coup, Attitude for Destruction will pay tribute to Guns N' Roses.
In the sports arena, the first edition of the international mountain bike race, Vitoria-Gasteiz BTT Basque Country, will be held on May 2nd and 3rd. This event will gather high-level cyclists and enthusiasts of all ages. Finally, a poetic event to celebrate Mother's Day will take place on Sunday at 12:00 at the Arantza flower shop, and a family activity, Activating the Senses, at Ataria, also on Sunday at 12:00.
