Vitoria-Gasteiz has reissued its cycling route map, now featuring a 'cycling metrominuto' – a visual tool to estimate bike travel times between key city points, aiming to facilitate faster and simpler daily commutes.

The new publication, produced by the Vitoria-Gasteiz Environmental Studies Centre, updates the city's cycling network with new routes implemented over the past two years. It also includes information on secure parking spots within the VGbiziz network and details about Mugibike, the public bicycle loan service launched in December 2025.
The cycling metrominuto system provides an at-a-glance view of estimated travel times between various urban locations. This initiative aims to allow individuals to quickly calculate routes without external applications, offering a clearer understanding of actual distances within Vitoria-Gasteiz.
The back of the foldable map also contains practical information regarding the operation of VGbiziz, the municipal bicycle registry, and the Mugibike system itself. Additionally, it offers basic safety tips for cycling on both dedicated paths and roadways, alongside recommendations to prevent bicycle theft.
The publication will be available in Basque and Spanish, with a print run of 4,000 copies. Distribution will primarily target students attending the safe cycling courses organized annually by the CEA, but it will also be accessible at bicycle shops and the Tourist Office.
