The Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council has launched its summer nautical activities program, offering 619 spots in windsurf, paddle surf, canoeing, and sailing courses at the Ullibarri Gamboa reservoir, with registrations starting on May 18.

The summer sports offerings in Vitoria-Gasteiz include 57 courses, totaling 619 spots, as part of the “Nautical Activities” program. The registration period begins on Monday, May 18, and will remain open until the day before the corresponding course, provided there are still places available. Registrations can be made online, at civic centers and sports facilities, or by calling 010.
This municipal summer program is structured into two main categories. Firstly, there are 57 introductory courses with 435 spots. These activities, all held in the afternoon, include canoeing, introductory sailing, TDV-windsurfing, and children's sailing (Optimist modality). They will take place between June 22 and August 28 in weekly shifts, each lasting five days. During June and July, each week will offer two canoeing courses, one introductory sailing course, one paddle surf course, two TDV-windsurfing courses, and one children's sailing course (Optimist). For August, two canoeing courses, one paddle surf course, another children's sailing course (Optimist), and the TDV-windsurfing course are scheduled.
Secondly, there is the nautical activities campus, with 184 spots, part of the “2026 Holiday Activities” program. Aimed at young people aged 7 to 15, this campus will run from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and its registration period began on March 24.
The Vitoria Nautical Club will be the central point for conducting the courses at the Ullibarri Gamboa reservoir. An essential requirement for participation is knowing how to swim. Additionally, to access the introductory courses, participants must be at least 11 years old, with exceptions for windsurfing (13 years), introductory sailing (14 years), and Optimist (8 to 13 years). Subscribers to municipal sports facilities will pay between €43.06 and €80.75, while non-subscribers will pay between €71.09 and €134.58 per course.
