Two young individuals, aged 18 and 21, were injured yesterday afternoon in two separate accidents involving electric scooters on the Bulevar de Euskal Herria and at the portal de Arriaga. The first incident occurred around 3:30 PM, while the second, a collision between a car and the VMP, took place around 7:30 PM. The scooter rider injured in the latter was transported by ambulance to a hospital. In total, nine traffic accidents were reported.
Furthermore, the Judicial Police and Investigation unit of the Local Police registered seventeen reports: eight for theft (two involving bicycles and one inside a vehicle), two for damage, six for lost wallets, keys, or other items, and one for theft from within a vehicle.
Among the services provided yesterday by the Prevention, Firefighting, and Rescue Service (SPEIS), notable actions included the removal of a chimney posing an imminent risk of falling into the public street, a special operation involving a rappel descent to rescue an elderly person in their home, and several nighttime interventions to extinguish fires set in street furniture containers.
The most technically complex intervention occurred in the early hours of the morning on Pío XII street, where firefighters set up a rope system on the roof to perform a rappel descent into an interior courtyard to reach the home of an injured elderly person and facilitate access for medical services. Finally, between 1:40 AM and 3:00 AM, multiple fires were reported in trash bins and containers in Gamarra Mayor and other areas, resulting in the complete incineration of four containers.
