TUVISA will incorporate five new electric buses into its fleet next Monday, October 19. These Irizar brand vehicles will improve urban public transport services.

TUVISA has already received the five electric buses purchased this year and, after making the necessary adaptations, will put them into service starting Monday, October 19. These vehicles, similar in characteristics to those added last year, are zero-emission and feature lithium-ion batteries.
Two of the buses joining the fleet are Irizar ie tram models, 12.165 meters long, with three doors, 23 seats (four reserved for people with reduced mobility), and three spaces for wheelchairs or strollers. Additionally, three more Irizar ie tram buses will be added, measuring 18.750 meters in length, with three doors, 42 seats (four reserved for people with reduced mobility), and three spaces for wheelchairs or strollers.
Both models are electric and equipped with an interoperable pantograph charging system, allowing for rapid charging in approximately four minutes. There is also the option for overnight charging at TUVISA's Electromobility Center.
The new vehicles will be assigned to TUVISA's various lines based on operational needs. Their incorporation will not alter current routes, stops, or schedules.
