Neighborhood associations in Vitoria-Gasteiz have reported an escalation of incidents around a nightclub, with a broken building entrance glass and spit found, following a municipal appearance last Monday.

Neighborhood associations in the Los Herrán area have reported that, during the early hours of the morning, a building's entrance glass was found broken and spit was discovered inside. These events follow a public appearance last Monday at the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, where residents denounced problems related to the activity of a nightclub.

"It is very clear that this is because of the appearance on Monday."

According to the residents' account, the incidents occurred around half past four in the morning. A member of a neighborhood association stated that this is the first time something like this has happened and interprets it as a “full-blown revenge”. The affected entrance is, precisely, the building adjacent to the aforementioned nightclub.
This episode comes just three days after the appearance held on Monday at the City Model, Urban Planning and Housing Commission of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council. In that intervention, residents publicly denounced the noise, dirt, insecurity, and alleged urban planning irregularities that, they claim, surround the nightclub's activity.
A neighborhood spokesperson insisted that the problem goes beyond what happened this morning. According to their account, shouts, laughter, insults, and noise are common in the area during late hours of the night. They also stated that the venue opens almost every day and has sometimes remained open until the early hours of the morning.
The same sources also assure that they have been collecting photos and videos for months about what happens on the street and in the surroundings of the establishment. They speak of constant dirt, people urinating outside, and repeated disturbances to the neighborhood. “Because they are coming for us,” this source summarized, explaining the fear with which, they say, they now face this conflict.
