The Flower Festival will make its return to Vitoria-Gasteiz in May 2026, specifically from the 22nd to the 24th. This event aims to enhance the city's appeal, with its content and proposals being adjusted annually to increase its attractiveness.

The inauguration is scheduled for Friday, May 22, with an event in the Plaza de España, featuring music, pintxo tasting, and a DJ session. Following the success of previous editions, a similar night party is expected in the same square, although details about the participating artists have not yet been revealed.
This festival is in a growth phase, seeking the involvement of local businesses in Vitoria-Gasteiz and various artists who exhibit their floral creations. Flowers transform the city's streets, making them more colorful, and sculptures are complemented by artistic creations made with natural plants. Additionally, the center of Vitoria-Gasteiz will host a flower market, offering a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants.
While other flower festivals with longer histories exist in Spain and worldwide, the Vitoria-Gasteiz festival is the only one that has materialized from the projects included in the mayor's electoral program, under the “city of festivals” initiative. Other proposals, such as the Comic Festival or European Culture Week, have not yet come to fruition. Nevertheless, Vitoria-Gasteiz already boasts an extensive spring program covering sports, music, and culture for all ages.
