Miren Fernández de Landa will now head the Public Space and Neighborhoods department, and Izaskun Reyes will take on new responsibilities related to mobility within the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council.

The municipal group of EAJ-PNV has finalized the reorganization of its responsibilities within the Municipal Government following the departure of Beatriz Artolazabal to the Senate. Consequently, Miren Fernández de Landa will assume leadership of the Public Space and Neighborhoods department, while Izaskun Reyes will expand her current duties to encompass new areas related to mobility.
Fernández de Landa will thus continue the work already underway in a department she is familiar with, having previously served as the special representative for Rural Areas. She will now direct Public Space and Neighborhoods, while also retaining her existing roles as the councilor delegate for Open Government and Civic Centers.
Meanwhile, Izaskun Reyes will take on a new special delegation that includes the Traffic Service, the Bus Station, and the Mobility Management Unit. This cluster of responsibilities is closely aligned with her existing duties as president of TUVISA, aiming to enhance coordination across public transport, traffic, and mobility policies.
This revised distribution reflects a commitment to continuity in the work carried out to date and aims to leverage the knowledge and experience both councilors possess in their respective fields.
The spokesperson for EAJ-PNV and deputy mayor, Sonia Díaz de Corcuera, emphasized, “We approach this new phase with complete normality and a team that is well-acquainted with the areas and projects we have underway. Miren and Izaskun are taking on new responsibilities in areas where they are already working, which allows us to guarantee continuity and keep moving forward from the outset.”
“We have a clearly defined project, significant work already completed, and important commitments to continue developing. Our objective is to maintain momentum, fulfill our promises, and conclude the legislative term successfully,” she added.
The reorganization follows Sonia Díaz de Corcuera's assumption of the spokesperson role for the EAJ-PNV municipal group and the Deputy Mayor position after Beatriz Artolazabal's departure. The group will further complete its new composition with the addition of Iker González de Garibay as a new councilor.
