Euskadi's Public Security Council meets in Vitoria

The Security Councillor, Bingen Zupiria, chaired a meeting of Euskadi's Public Security Council in Vitoria-Gasteiz today to discuss crime data and the security plan.

The Security Councillor, Bingen Zupiria, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Joana Egiluz, and the Deputy Minister of Security, Ricardo Ituarte, chaired a new meeting of the Euskadi Public Security Council today at the Basque Government headquarters in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
During the session, the follow-up of the Basque Segurtasun Foroa meetings, the evolution of crime data in Euskadi for the current year, and the monitoring report of the General Plan for Public Security of Euskadi were addressed. Maritime Rescue competencies were also discussed.
This Council annually brings together all competent or involved entities in Euskadi's public security system: the Basque Government, provincial councils, EUDEL, the Spanish Government's Delegation, the Basque Bar Association, the General Council of the Judiciary, the TSJPV, and the State Attorney's Office of the Basque Country. The aim is to share information, strengthen institutional coordination, and advance work aimed at consolidating a comprehensive public security model serving the Basque citizens.
