The Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council has approved a €100,000 agreement with FEDASOC to boost the activity of the Casco Medieval Commerce in 2026.

The Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council has reaffirmed its commitment to local commerce by allocating a €100,000 subsidy to the Casco Medieval area. This agreement, signed with FEDASOC (Federation of Associations of Commerce and Services of the Casco Medieval), aims to invigorate commercial activity in the city's historic center throughout 2026.
This funding will support five key activities: the Almendra Market; the Correría Street Festival (Correfest); the Summer Fair Uda Fest; the mystery campaign ‘Enigmas en el Casco Medieval’; and the traditional Night of the Candles, held on the Friday before Christmas Eve.

"With this subsidy, we reaffirm our commitment to local commerce, economic revitalization, and the renewal of the Casco Medieval, one of Vitoria-Gasteiz's most emblematic spaces."

Maider Etxebarria · Mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz
The objective of these revitalization initiatives is to attract visitors, strengthen commercial activity, and consolidate the Historic Old Town as a vibrant and active space.
