Bachelor and bachelorette parties have returned with significant momentum to Vitoria-Gasteiz, establishing the city as an attractive destination for groups from nearby provinces seeking to celebrate special events.

In April, bachelor and bachelorette parties have made a strong return to Vitoria-Gasteiz, even more vigorously than in previous years. The Basque capital is increasingly attracting this type of weekend and short-distance tourism, largely due to its convenient location, being just an hour away from cities like Logroño, Pamplona, Burgos, and towns in Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia.
On Saturday afternoons, more than a dozen groups can be seen gathering in the streets of Vitoria-Gasteiz. The aesthetic is consistently similar: the bride or groom in costume, with the rest wearing personalized t-shirts. This ritual, while exciting for the first wedding in a group, tends to lose some intensity in subsequent celebrations.

A group from Nájera, on their eighth party, confirmed they only organized the trip, choosing Vitoria-Gasteiz because it shares a patron saint with Álava, also celebrating San Prudencio. Meanwhile, a mixed group from Pamplona, on their first party, opted for the city to do Humor Amarillo and for the similarity of Kutxi street to Calle Navarrería.
Unlike other nearby cities where bachelor and bachelorette parties have become an issue, in Vitoria-Gasteiz, they integrate seamlessly into the continuous Saturday afternoon social scene. Mornings are often dedicated to sports activities such as Humor Amarillo, paintball, or karting, while others prefer more cultural options like organized scavenger hunts or escape rooms.
Regarding hospitality, most attendees of these parties stay in Airbnb-style apartments, preferring them over hotels. Many opt for dinner shows, such as the Cena Prohibida at El Reservado, which has become a benchmark. Others enjoy daytime hospitality, going for pintxos or to recommended bars. Everyone makes the most of the weekend, as the night in Vitoria becomes a memorable experience.
