The Orio Town Hall has initiated the process for organizing the San Nikolas festivities, scheduling three meetings for the coming weeks. Proposals from citizens and stakeholders will be collected.

This year's San Nikolas festivities will take place from December 5th to 8th. To organize them, as has been done previously, the local festival committee will hold three meetings in the coming weeks. The first session is scheduled for October 7th, a Wednesday, at 7:00 PM in the Culture House.
Prior to this meeting, with the 2026 San Nikolas festivities in mind, the Town Hall has opened the opportunity to submit proposals. Suggestions can be sent to the email address kultura2@orio.eus. Not only local stakeholders but also citizens wishing to participate in the organization of the festivities can send in their ideas.
The schedule and objectives for the planned meetings are as follows:
  • October 7th, Wednesday, 7:00 PM at the Culture House: A meeting to define the festival days and the foundational elements of the program. The Town Hall will present proposals received via email, and attendees will also have the chance to present their own. These will be analyzed collectively to draft the initial program, considering the character and values of Orio's San Nikolas festivities.
  • October 21st, Wednesday, 7:00 PM at the Culture House: There will be an opportunity to present new proposals, building upon the foundations established in the previous meeting. The primary goal of this session will be to finalize the overall vision for the program.
  • November 4th, Wednesday, 7:00 PM at the Culture House: This will be the final meeting to close the program, detailing all activities, artists, schedules, and venues. Additionally, technical requirements will be specified, and coordination among stakeholders will be facilitated.
The Town Hall urges stakeholders and citizens to participate in the festival committee sessions, emphasizing the importance of gathering everyone's opinions and proposals to collectively shape the festivities.
