The Orio City Council and Psychosocial and Socio-educational Services have organized a workshop on positive parenting this October, aimed at parents with children between 0 and 3 years old.

The meetings will take place at the Salatxo Hall, aiming to offer parents a safe space to share experiences and receive support throughout their parenting journey. The sessions will flexibly address topics of interest to the participants.
The workshop will foster interaction and dialogue among parents, with content tailored to their concerns, fears, and needs. To accommodate families, children are welcome to attend the workshop with their parents, regardless of age, and can stay within the venue.
A variety of parenting-related topics will be explored from a practical perspective. Key areas covered will include child development, sensory experiences, adapted play, and attachment. The importance of respecting a child's biological rhythms and routines, positive parenting models, and the foundations of self-esteem will also be discussed.
The workshop is structured into four progressive sessions. The first will focus on mutual acquaintance among group members, emotional processing, and the significance of self-care. The second session will involve discussions on sensory experiences, basic needs, and the role of play. The third and fourth sessions will delve deeper into child development, sensory experiences, adapted play, and attachment, alongside positive parenting approaches and self-esteem development.
The sessions are scheduled for October 7, 14, 21, and 28, from 16:30 to 18:30, at the Salatxo Hall. The workshops will be conducted in Basque, with whisper interpretation services available for those who require them.
