Zumaia will host the Organic Markets Route this Friday, August 28th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Eusebio Gurrutxaga square.

Visitors will find and be able to purchase a variety of organic products, cultivated with respect for the environment and ensuring animal welfare. These include vegetables, cheeses, honey, bread, oil, and cider. The initiative aims to showcase the work of local producers, foster direct relationships between them and consumers, and strengthen commitment to a fairer and more sustainable food system.
The Zumaia City Council, in collaboration with Urkome and ENEEK-Ekolurra Kontseilua, supports this market organized by the BIOLUR Association, encouraging citizens to attend and take a step towards more conscious consumption.
To promote participation, the Zumaia City Council and ENEEK-Ekolurra Kontseilua have made 5-euro discount vouchers available at the Tourist Office. These vouchers can be used for purchases of 15 euros or more at the market.
Additionally, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, there will be a cooking demonstration with Miriam Chefintegrativa, who will show how to prepare healthy and delicious recipes using organic ingredients purchased at the market.
The Biolur Association emphasizes that these markets are "excellent meeting points for connecting production and consumption," offering opportunities to learn about food origins and agroecology.
