The jury will consist of two members from the Hike eizan! working group and two from the Erniarraitz Bertsozale Elkartea (Bertsolaris Association). The winners will be announced on June 1.
The competition has three categories: children (up to 14 years old, born in 2012 or later), youth (between 15 and 18 years old, born between 2008 and 2011), and adults (19 years and older, born in 2007 or earlier).
Regarding the monetary prizes, the best bertso collection in the children's category will receive 125 euros, and in the youth category, 250 euros. In the adult category, the first prize will be 500 euros, and the second prize will be 250 euros. Additionally, Azkoitia Awards will be given in each category to the authors of the best bertso collections submitted by residents: 75 euros for children, 150 euros for youth, and 300 euros for adults.
For the works, children must submit at least two bertsos and four coplas. In the youth category, six bertsos are required, and in the adult category, eight bertsos. The theme, meter, and melody are free, but all bertso collections must be written in hitano, with the use of noka being valued.
The awards ceremony will take place on June 25, as part of the VI. Hike eizan! bertso session. Bertsolaris Nerea Elustondo, Andoni Egaña, Agin Laburu, and Aner Peritz will participate in the event.
