Urrategi (Azkoitia) Celebrates Amaren Eguna with a Full Program and Bus Service

The festivities on Sunday will include religious services, music, bertsolaris, rural sports, and children's activities in the Urrategi neighborhood.

This coming Sunday, July 12, the Urrategi neighborhood will celebrate Amaren Eguna with a wide array of events scheduled from morning until night. The Azkoitia City Council has also arranged a bus service to facilitate access to the area.

The events to celebrate Amaren Eguna in Urrategi will run from Friday to Sunday. On Friday, July 10, a quick mus tournament will take place at 10:00 PM. On Saturday, July 11, a communal lunch for the residents will be held at midday.
On Sunday, July 12, the day will be packed with activities. In the morning, there will be mass at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Afterwards, at 12:30 PM, bertsolaris Joanes Illarregi and Xabat Illarregi will perform, followed by a concert by trikitilaris Zabale, Aintzane Agirrebeña, and Lutxurdio.
In the afternoon, there will be children's activities: at 4:00 PM, children's games, inflatables, and workshops, and at 5:00 PM, a magic show by Maria Arandia. At 6:00 PM, a rural sports exhibition will feature stone lifters Haritz Aranguren Norde and Lierni Osa, and aizkolaris (log choppers) Julen Alberdi Txikia IV and Iker Vicente. Following the exhibition, there will be a romeria (traditional Basque festival) with trikitilaris.
The Azkoitia City Council has organized a bus service for Sunday. The bus will depart from the Julio Urkixo stop towards Urrategi. In the morning, it will run back and forth from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. In the afternoon, the outward journey will start at 4:00 PM from Urrategi, and the return service will be at 8:00 PM. The service will be free of charge.
