Rowing teams from Urola Kosta have made a strong start to the Gipuzkoa Trainerilla League, securing excellent results in the first round held on the Oria river.

Following the recent conclusion of the batel league, the Gipuzkoa Trainerilla League commenced this weekend, organized by the Gipuzkoa Rowing Federation. The initial races took place on Saturday afternoon on the Oria river, where 36 boats competed across cadet, junior, and absolute categories.
Rowers from the region demonstrated remarkable performance. The boys' team from Orio claimed victory in the absolute category, both in the League and the Cup. Teams from Zarautz also performed exceptionally well, with their boys' team winning in the cadet category.
Zumaia and Getaria also delivered strong performances. The women's team from Zumaia secured the top two positions in the absolute category, while the men's team from Getaria finished second in the absolute men's League.
Furthermore, on Sunday afternoon in Zumaia, as part of the San Telmo festivities, trainerilla races will be held starting at 17:30. Two flags will be contested: the women's XII San Telmo Award and the men's XLI San Telmo Award. The start and finish lines will be located near Arranpla, and participating boats will complete four lengths and three turns around the beginning of the sandbar.
