The Department of Mobility, Tourism and Spatial Planning of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa has announced an improvement in the connection between Urola Erdia and Donostia. Starting June 15, the UK01 line will feature a new night service on weekdays, aimed at supporting commuters who finish their workday in the capital.
The new service will depart from Altzibar (Azkoitia) at 21:15 and return from the Donostia bus station at 22:25. The route will include stops in Azpeitia and Zestoa in both directions.

In 2025, the UK01 line recorded nearly 850,000 trips, an increase of 10.6% compared to the previous year. The Provincial Council emphasized that these improvements are part of a strategy to continuously adapt Lurraldebus services to meet the real needs of citizens and reduce reliance on private vehicles.
