A person who started working for the Errekauek service has highlighted the social aspect of their job and the support it provides to citizens. "Jobs that allow me to interact with people seem nice to me," they stated. They added that when they deliver requested groceries to homes, users receive them with great gratitude and generosity, making it a "rewarding job."
The service's limitations are in the Munategi area, where Enkarguk offers a similar service with a different delivery person. Errekauek, on the other hand, operates throughout Azkoitia. They mentioned that there is a connection between the two services, and that the Errekauek worker accompanied the Enkarguk employee to learn and understand how the service functions.
Citizens place their grocery orders via Whatsapp. Once an order is registered, the worker goes to the store, collects the items, and delivers them to the customer's home. Service members can make as many requests as they wish by paying 50 euros annually, or one euro per order. Residents request almost anything, from fresh and daily products to carpet cleaning or delivering adult diapers.
They use an electric car to provide the service, especially considering the slopes and cobblestone pavement of Azkoitia. This car allows for transporting more products in a single trip and is more comfortable even in bad weather.
They emphasized that users are very grateful and that they have excellent relationships with some of them. "It's a service with a social component," they stated, particularly for those who have difficulty going out, carrying heavy items, or driving. They feel this job helps them integrate into Azkoitia and get to know its people, even though they were already well-integrated and are an approachable person.
