Following the morning events, midday also offered the opportunity to participate in the San Ignacio Day celebrations in Azpeitia. The fenced-off area of Santiago street gathered young people and dozens of onlookers playing with calves. Simultaneously, there was music and protest activities in the town.
The Municipal Music Band performed its traditional concert in a packed Sanagustin kulturgunea, under the direction of Unai Frantsesena. In the streets, the Gauerdi txaranga livened up the crowded midday 'poteo' (bar hopping). Starting from the main square, a street parade against sexist violence was also held, called by Haujijija and Itaya, under the slogan "Against all aggression!".
Numerous families gathered in the street around midday and, following tradition, will have lunch together. The afternoon and evening will also feature events, including a Holi powder festival, young bull events, a bullfight, a performance by the Alurr dance group, and several concerts.
