The San Donato day in Aia was celebrated with great enthusiasm under sunny skies. Events kicked off early in the morning with a breakfast for late-night revellers, followed by a 'diana' (morning march) and mass. At midday, pelota matches took center stage, with the under-10 hand-pelota final played between Abel Lopetegi and Markel Expositoren against Danel Solabarrieta and Xuhar Artola, with the latter pair emerging victorious. The second final, for players aged 11 to 15, saw Haitz Etxarri and Adei San Sebastian defeat Urtzi Zabala and Julen Sagastibeltza 20-14.
Saturday marked Children's Day, featuring games for children and youth in the main square in the morning, followed by a family lunch in the afternoon. The afternoon also included a foam party and inflatables, while the evening offered concerts by Gozategi, Zopilotes Txirriaos, and Afonica Naranjo, with Indate DJ performing afterwards.
Sunday saw the conclusion of the San Donato festivities with further events. The morning featured an open toka (a Basque throwing game) championship and a children's toka, along with a sardine feast. In the afternoon, a 'spectacular' challenge was announced, followed by a parade with 'buruhandi' (big-heads) and trikitilaris (Basque musicians) through the town's streets. A 'kantujira' (singing procession) also took place with the group from Orio, and the festivities concluded at midnight with a tombola in the square and a performance by Euzkolabel DJ.
