Although mathematically crowned champions since July 4th, the Badok 13 Orio rowing team officially received their trophy this weekend at the end of the veterans' season. In the regatta held in Plentzia (Bizkaia), the team secured their 11th league flag – out of a total of twelve races contested. The award ceremony was described as "special" because the trophy was presented by Lehendakari Iñigo Urkullu, who is also the president of the eAtlantic foundation that sponsors the league.
This year, a total of 24 rowing boats participated in the eAtlantic league, divided into two divisions with twelve teams each. In the main category, Badok 13 Orio proved dominant.
In the overall standings, Orio accumulated 143 points. Following them, Donostiarra Fortuna and Zumaia finished tied with 112 points each.
Furthermore, club representatives mentioned that the second boat from Badok 13 also had a notable season. They competed in the veterans' B league, securing fourth place in the overall standings out of twelve teams.
