This victory is not only for the Azpeitia goalkeeper but also for the physical trainer Oier Agirrezabalaga, also from Azpeitia. Agirrezabalaga has worked for seventeen years at Zubieta, across various youth categories, and has been the first team's physical trainer since January.
This marks the fourth Copa del Rey title in the history of Real Sociedad's men's team. They previously won the trophy in 1909, 1987, and 2021.
