The EAJ-PNV in Zumaia has advocated for dialogue and understanding in local politics, criticizing EH Bildu's approach of using personal disqualifications rather than focusing on the community's interests.

The EAJ-PNV has stated that it has always been, and continues to be, open to dialogue, understanding, and working responsibly for Zumaia and its citizens. Therefore, they find the tone and methods used in EH Bildu's response surprising, as they have gone as far as to personally disqualify EAJ-PNV councilors —representatives of the popular will— almost on a personal level.
According to the EAJ-PNV, their sole objective is to defend what is best for Zumaia and its residents. Thus, calling democratically elected public representatives “liars” is neither a sign of institutional respect nor of the collaborative atmosphere the town needs. The party emphasized that its criticism was directed at a specific decision, not at a personal level.

"In politics, it is entirely legitimate for decisions and public management to be subject to debate; moreover, it is necessary."

The EAJ-PNV regrets that this is not the first time EH Bildu has displayed such a style. This style, in the party's opinion, shows more nervousness than solidity when their policies and some of their decisions are questioned. Often, this attitude has revealed improvisation and a lack of the seriousness required for public management.
