Orio Rowing Club Wins Anchovy Day Flag in Getaria

The Orio Rowing Club's boat was the fastest in the senior men's category of the Anchovy Day trainera regatta, held in Getaria, earning valuable points for the Gipuzkoa league.

The trainera regattas held this morning in the waters of Getaria concluded the Anchovy Day celebration. This competition, in addition to being a scoring event for the Gipuzkoa league, also awarded coveted flags to the winners.
In the senior men's category, the team from Orio Rowing Club prevailed, taking home the victory flag. In the same category, Getaria finished third and Zarautz fourth. Also in the absolute category, but in the cup regatta, Orio C was first, Orio B second, Zarautz B third, and Zarautz C fourth.
In the senior women's category, Orio A finished second, behind San Juan Beren. Following the Orio team were Zumaia A, Zumaia B, and Orio B. In the junior men's category, Getaria was fourth and Zumaia fifth.
The cadet regattas kicked off the morning session. In the women's category, Zumaia finished fifth, Zarautz sixth, and Getaria seventh. In the men's category, Zarautz was third and Getaria fifth.
