Orio wins two flags this weekend in Galicia

The men's rowing team achieves important victories in Redondela and Bueu, extending their lead in the league standings.

The men's rowing team of Orio Arraunketa Elkartea has secured two significant victories this weekend in regattas held in Galicia, in Redondela and Bueu, thereby widening their lead in the overall league standings.

Iker Zabala's crew returns from Galicia with two major triumphs. Yesterday they competed in Redondela and today in Bueu. The Orio team emerged victorious in both races, strengthening their position in the league standings.
In today's regatta, Zierbena was Orio's main rival. The Biscayan team kept pace with Orio for a large part of the race, but Orio increased their speed in the final stretch to win by a four-second margin. The official time was 19:36.84, marking their fifth league flag. Zierbena finished in 19:40.12, and Hondarribia took third place with 19:52.60.
In the general standings, Orio has 80 points, ten more than Bermeo, giving them a substantial lead at the top.
Meanwhile, in the women's Euskotren league, the Arraun Lagunak team claimed their seventh consecutive flag in the Bueu regatta, setting a new record for the race course (10:25.90). Tolosaldea finished second, and Hibaika third. Orio's team, on the other hand, came in sixth in their heat, but with an excellent performance.
In the overall standings, Orio is currently fifth with 28 points.
