The Orio Town Council will hold its ordinary session tomorrow, Tuesday, July 23rd, starting at 7:30 PM in the council chamber of the town hall. The session will be available to watch live on the council's portal.
Among the points to be discussed is the report on the vote count from the public consultation held to gather citizens' opinions on the location of the new fronton in Orio. If deemed appropriate, decisions will be made by the council.
Furthermore, the public competition for the works to organize and redevelop the area between the health center and the municipal sports center of Orio will be awarded. These works, based on a project designed by architects Enric Mas and David Camacho, will have a maximum budget of 2,780,679.51 euros.
The agenda for tomorrow's council meeting includes, among other items, the approval of various minutes, reporting on the delinquency report for the second quarter of 2026 and the budget execution status for 2026, the approval of an amendment to the municipal budget, and the ratification of the mayor's decree on modifying sanctions for the Municipal Parking Ordinance.
Additionally, a partial modification of the organic plantilla and job list for 2026 will be approved, along with the award of the public competition for the works to organize and redevelop the area between the health center and the sports center. Topics related to the Covenant of Mayors and actions to achieve a fairer and more climate-neutral Europe will also be addressed.
Finally, information will be provided regarding an order from the Basque Government's Department of Housing and Urban Agenda, initiating the procedure to declare the municipality of Orio as a stressed residential market area. The minutes from the public consultation on the new fronton's location will be presented, and requests and questions will be handled.
