Ibai Zarrabeitia and Irene Iturria Win the XX Aztiria Mountain Race

The race, a scoring event for the Goierri Kopa trail for the first time, saw 220 runners compete over a 12-kilometer course.

Ibai Zarrabeitia and Irene Iturria have emerged victorious in the XX Aztiria Mountain Race, held this morning in Aztiria. The event was a scoring race for the Goierri Kopa trail for the first time.

As part of the Aztiria festivities, the race challenged participants to complete a 12-kilometer course. A total of 220 runners participated in the competition.
In the men's category, Ibai Zarrabeitia from Igorre secured first place with a time of 1:00:35. He was followed by Iban San Juan (Zegama) and Iñigo Leiza (Hernani).
In the women's category, Irene Iturria from Bidania-Goiatz claimed victory, finishing in 1:11:39. Adirane Peñagarikano (Urretxu) and Ainara Sanchez (Zalduondo) took second and third place, respectively.
