Under Ana's guidance, a tour took place through Orio's streets, allowing participants to discover its rich heritage and gain better self-knowledge. With brief stops, Ana explained the founding of Orio and the organization around Goiko Kalea, covering streets, houses, the church, and Pilliku plaza.
At this final location, she shared the history of the women net-makers, the significance of the Basque language, and specifically, the story of Maria Maestra.
“"It was a pleasure, Ana! We agree with your call: As children, we had the chance to see Orio from the sea, but today we see the sea from the town. Why not give today's youth that opportunity? Here is our proposal to the Orio City Council."
The morning passed quickly and enjoyably. In their concluding remarks, the students highlighted a proposal directed at the Orio City Council: to provide young people with opportunities to experience the sea more closely in Orio, similar to how in the past one could view the town from the sea.
