Nadia Erostarbe, a surfer from Zarautz, has successfully passed her first heat at the Surf City Pro El Salvador championship, but was eliminated in the round of 16 by Brazil's Luana Silva.

Nadia Erostarbe from Zarautz has finished her journey in the fifth tournament of the Championship Tour. The Surf City El Salvador Pro was her latest competition, where she performed well.
Advancing past the initial heats is very important in this Tour. In her first heat, Nadia faced the Portuguese surfer Francisca Veselko. Veselko initially caught the best waves, but Erostarbe patiently waited for her moment and secured the best wave of the heat with a score of 6.83. Despite being behind, she needed only a 3.84 wave. In the final moments, she caught two good waves, one scoring 4.43 which gave her the lead, and a final one with 5.33 points, totaling 12.16 and allowing her to advance.
In the round of 16, the Zarautz surfer faced a very tough opponent, the Brazilian Luana Silva, who is currently second in the overall standings. Silva's first two waves, scoring 6.67 and 5.83, gave her a significant advantage, providing her with calmness while the pressure was on Nadia. However, Erostarbe is not easily intimidated. She continued to work and entered the competition with a wave scoring 6.20. In the last five minutes, a score of 6.31 would have been enough. We saw the Zarautz surfer fighting, trying to improve her score, and she managed to catch a wave in the final seconds, but it didn't help her much, as the judges awarded it 4.60 points.
