Urrategi neighborhood festivities in Azkoitia begin this Friday

The Urrategi neighborhood in Azkoitia is set to celebrate its local festivities from July 10 to 12, featuring a mix of card tournaments, religious services, and cultural events.

The festivities begin on Friday, July 10, at 10:00 PM with a fast-paced mus tournament. Entry is 20 euros per pair, with the winners receiving 350 euros and traditional txapelas. Other top-ranking participants will also receive prizes, including dinners and local food products.
Sunday, July 12, marks the main day of the celebrations. Following morning masses, a bertsolari session will take place at 12:30 PM, followed by traditional music. The afternoon program includes children's workshops, a magic show, and rural sports exhibitions in the neighborhood square.
The Azkoitia City Council will provide a free bus service on Sunday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The bus will depart from the Julio Urkixo stop, and no prior registration is required to use the service.
