Itzulia Women race to cause traffic disruptions this Wednesday in Azpeitia and Azkoitia

The first stage of the cycling race will affect several roads in Urola Erdia with 30-minute traffic interruptions.

The Itzulia Women race will pass through the Urola Erdia region this Wednesday, leading to temporary traffic closures as reported by the Basque Government Traffic Directorate.

The race will depart from Zarautz at 10:00 AM. After traveling along the coast, the cyclists will climb the Azkarate mountain pass, expected to be crossed around 11:29 AM towards Azkoitia. The route will then continue through Loiola and Azpeitia, heading towards Landeta and Urrestilla.
Traffic interruptions are expected to last approximately 30 minutes. Major impacts will occur on the GI-2634 road between Azkarate and Azkoitia starting at 10:50 AM, and on the GI-631 between Azpeitia and the GI-2635 junction from 11:00 AM.
The race will also pass through Nuarbe, Beizama, Santa Ageda, Bidania-Goiatz, Errezil, and Etumeta, before descending towards Aizarna.
