Improvement works on the GI-3720 road, initiated in January by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, are progressing and will result in a full road closure between Beizama and Nuarbe this Thursday for asphalt laying.

The road will be completely closed to traffic on Thursday, from 09:00 to 18:00, although the works will span from 08:00 to 19:00. This closure will impact travel in the surrounding towns.
Due to this closure, drivers wishing to travel from Beizama to Azpeitia or Errezil must use the Bidania-Goiaz road. For the journey to Azpeitia, the GI-3740 road should be taken, passing through Urraki, while for Errezil, the alternative will be the GI-2634 road.
Road closure notices will be strategically placed: at the exit of Beizama, in the direction of Nuarbe, at the junction with the GI-2634; and in Nuarbe, at the junction with the GI-2635.
According to the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, the main objectives of these works are to enhance road safety, improve Beizama's connections, and adapt the road to current needs. The entity noted that the road's narrowness at several points and curves made vehicle crossing difficult. Therefore, earthworks, drainage, and platform widening have been carried out, and now the road will be asphalted.
