A restaurant in Getaria issued a statement this Saturday to warn its clientele about the importance of making reservations exclusively through official channels, after detecting websites attempting to impersonate its identity.

The warning comes after the identification of unauthorized websites and unofficial profiles using the restaurant's name and image without permission. This situation could jeopardize customer security by creating confusion when managing reservations.
This marks the second similar incident affecting the hospitality sector in Gipuzkoa in less than a week. A few days prior, another well-known restaurant in Donostia also reported a similar situation, having found unauthorized platforms operating without consent.

"We have detected the existence of unofficial websites and profiles that are using our restaurant's name and image without authorization. We ask that for your safety, you always verify that you are accessing our official channels before making any arrangements."

Given the risk of confusion in reservation management, the restaurant has emphasized on social media that the only secure way to make arrangements is through its official website or by calling the establishment directly.
