Fans of hand pelota will once again have the chance to enjoy the sport at Urrestilla's San Juan festivities this year. The high-level pelota festival initially scheduled for June 19 was canceled, as explained by the organizers, due to a new agreement made by the company Aspe for television broadcasts. This would have been the 27th edition of the event.
A solution has been found to this cancellation, and three hand pelota matches have been organized for fans at the Txikuri fronton on June 19, under the slogan 'Euskal selekzioa Urrestillatik mundura' (Basque selection from Urrestilla to the world). The festival will begin at 9:00 PM, and admission will be free.
The organizers have invited pelota fans to the festival.
The matches scheduled for the 19th at the Txikuri fronton will be as follows: the first match will feature Olatz Arrizabalaga and Enara Gamindez; in the second, Azketa and Garmendia will play against Etxeberria and Irazustabarrena; and in the third, Egiguren and Bernaola will face Muru and Elorza.
