The Getaria Town Hall has opened the call for subsidies to cover housing rental expenses for young people in 2026, aimed at individuals aged 18 to 35 and with a budget of 9,000 euros.

The aid allows for subsidies of up to 300 euros per month, covering up to 75% of the rent. Compared to the previous year's regulations, the residency requirement has been reduced from five to three years, income limits have been increased, and the maximum monthly subsidy has risen from 250 to 300 euros.
To be eligible for the aid, applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old, reside in a rented property with their primary residence in Getaria, and the rental contract must have a minimum duration of one year. Additionally, the Gaztelagun and Emantzipa programs will be considered, as the municipal aid will be applied subsidiarily or as a supplement.
The first payment of this call will consider rental expenses paid between January 1 and September 30, 2026. Expenses for October, November, and December will also be included in this aid, with the corresponding payment to be made in early 2027 after justifying the expenses and receipts.
The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 working days from the day after the announcement is published in the Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa. The application form can be obtained at the Getaria Town Hall reception and on the municipal website, and can be submitted in person or electronically.
