The Amenabar Zarautz handball team has been promoted to the Honor Division Plata this Sunday, after defeating Handbol Sant Joan from Alicante 36-25, completing a perfect promotion phase with three consecutive wins.

The team from Zarautz has completed an outstanding season, remaining undefeated in the league, and has dominated the promotion phase. This achievement replicates their promotion two years ago, though this time the feat took place in Carrizal de Ingenio, a town near the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria airport.
Unlike the previous promotion, which was decided by a last-second goal, the dominance of the team coached by Mikel Aguirrezabalaga has been absolute. They showcased their strength throughout all three matchdays of Group III in the promotion phase.
The team finished the regular league with 59 out of a possible 60 points and maintained this unbeaten streak in the promotion phase. On Friday, they convincingly defeated Mubak La Roca (37-30), and on Saturday, the local Balonmano Ingenio (30-37). This set them up for direct promotion if they could beat Sant Joan.
