Members of Eguzki AF competed with the Gipuzkoa selection in the championship between teams from the Basque Country and Navarre, held on the 7th in Gasteiz.
In the junior category team, the players competing were Unai Berasategi, Danel Gomez, Josu Garcia, and Axel Fuertes. Additionally, Unax Oliva and Unax Nogales were on the call-up list but were absent as they were in Cartagena (Murcia) with the Eguzki Andatza Taberna team for the first phase of the Spanish club championship. Due to this, local resident Gorka Redondo was the sole leader of the team, with Mikel Escribano in Murcia.
The youth teams played a four-way competition against the selections of Navarre, Bizkaia, and Araba. The matches against the first two selections were close, but the representatives from Gipuzkoa managed to overcome both. Redondo anticipated a challenging match against Araba —after easily defeating Navarre and Bizkaia—, but the players performed excellently on the field and won the game with a significant lead, which the coach highlighted as "the easiest of the encounter".
The members of the youth category, however, played a triangular tournament against Navarre and Araba. Despite fighting hard, Gipuzkoa could not achieve favorable results. The team included Axular Miguelez, Alex Regueira, and Markel Rodriguez; Markel Amenabar was also scheduled to compete but could not travel to Gasteiz due to personal reasons.
Regarding the cadet team, six representatives from Lasarte-Oria (Xuhar Lucero, Telmo Aranzadi, Aimar Rezola, Xabi Lekaroz, Unax Urdangarin, and Ander Macho) had been called up to participate, but they had to withdraw as they were playing the first phase of the Spanish club championship in Ourense (Galicia).
