Donostia Arraun Lagunak has started the weekend exceptionally, winning the regattas in Castro Urdiales and Orio. The San Sebastián team remains at the top of the league with a perfect record.

The league competition kicked off the weekend in Castro Urdiales, with teams battling for the X. Caixabank Flag. Nortindal Donostiarra rowed in the first heat but could not overcome their rivals. Despite achieving a better time than Zumaia in the first leg (06.30), they fell behind in the second and finished eighth with a time of 12.19.96.
Meanwhile, Donostia Arraun Lagunak proved dominant. They took the lead from the start, opening a significant gap at the turn. They maintained their pace in the second leg and crossed the finish line in 11.42.34. They were the only boat to finish under twelve minutes and secured their fourth flag.
A day later, crews gathered in Orio for the XXVII. Women's Regatta of Orio - XIV. Orio Kanpina Flag. With local rower Enara Arruti on board, Nortindal Donostiarra performed well. Although they finished two seconds behind Hibai at the turn (05.21), Bantxa had a strong second leg and finished second in the first heat (11.18.38) behind Tolosaldea (11.10.20). Arruti's boat finished fifth in the overall standings of the event.
In the second heat, Donostia Arraun Lagunak had to beat Tolosaldea's time. Reaching the buoy at 05.21, it was challenging to surpass the Tolosa team's mark (05.13). However, they significantly increased their pace in the second leg and, by six seconds, with a time of 11.04.28, Aiora Belartia's team emerged victorious.
Thus, Donostia Arraun Lagunak has achieved victory in all the rounds played and leads the league with 40 points. Nortindal Donostiarra, on the other hand, is in eighth place with 11 points. The crews will have no rest, as they will travel to Galicia on the 18th and 19th of this month to compete in the regattas in Chapela and Bueu.
