He began his journey last Saturday from Madrid and is expected to arrive in Azpeitia on Friday afternoon, just in time for the Domusa Teknik 40 MLK race the following day. This is not his first time participating in this event; two years ago, he also walked to Azpeitia, though on that occasion, he started from the Ebro reservoir.
While his previous goal was to raise awareness for various illnesses, this time he aims to support minors living in residential centers, waiting to be placed with foster families. Approximately 20,000 children and young people under 18 in Spain are in this situation, hoping to find a family.
All funds raised from this solidarity initiative will go to the ADAMCAM association in Madrid, which is dedicated to protecting these children and helping them find families. Citizens wishing to contribute can do so via a website, where they can purchase segments of the 585-kilometer route, with each 30-meter section costing 2 euros.
