Azpeitia Racquetball Players Continue Strong in Navarra Championship

The Uterga-Agirrezabala and Matxin III-Barricart pairs secured victories in the latest rounds of the tournament.

Racquetball players from Azpeitia are maintaining a strong performance in the XXI Professional Navarra Community Remonte Championship – G.P. Terresis Magna, following recent matchdays.

The pair Uterga-Agirrezabala competed against Otxandorena-Otano at the Santacara fronton. The match was close, with Uterga and Agirrezabala ultimately winning 35-32, marking their second victory in the championship, although it did not secure them the lead.
On the same day, at the Sartaguda fronton, the Matxin III-Barricart pair defeated Ion-Zeberio II with a score of 23-35. Azpeitia player Ion delivered an excellent performance, scoring six points with only one error, which allowed Matxin III to play more comfortably.
With these results, Uterga-Agirrezabala is in second place in the standings with eight points, followed by Matxin III-Barricart in third with six points, and Zeberio II-Ion in fourth with a single point.
This weekend will see the next matches of the championship. On Saturday, in Hendaia, Zeberio II-Ion will face Sagaseta-Mitxeo, while Uterga-Agirrezabala will play against Matxin III-Barricart. On Sunday, in Espinal, Zeberio II and Ion will compete against Otxandorena-Otano.
