The town of Azpeitia has paid a heartfelt tribute to the football team's goalkeeper and physical trainer following their Cup victory. Hundreds of residents gathered in the Enparantza Nagusia to celebrate the achievement.

On Thursday afternoon, Azpeitia was filled with celebration as the football team's goalkeeper and physical trainer appeared on the Town Hall balcony. Below, in a packed Enparantza Nagusia, hundreds of Azpeitiarras awaited them to express gratitude for their Cup triumph. Both arrived, enjoying a mass reception with the trophy before ascending to the balcony, greeting everyone present.
The goalkeeper, a key hero of the Cup, became emotional when he took the microphone. The entire square applauded and chanted his name. Beside him was the physical trainer, wearing a Bultzada scarf. The most special moment was when both held up the Cup in front of all the people of Azpeitia.

"You grew up in Loyola, you won in Seville, you deserve this."

The fans
Amidst a wave of applause, fans unfurled a banner to thank the goalkeeper. Afterwards, they performed a massive 'Dale Cavese' chant and lit txuri-urdin colored smoke flares. The reception was organized by the Town Council in conjunction with the Lagun Onak and Ikasberri clubs, and the Lagun Onak flag from the previous 2021 final was displayed on the balcony.
Azpeitia is the first municipality to honor its champions after Donostia did so globally on Monday. This Friday, it will be Eibar's turn, where local players will be received in Unzaga Square.
