The rowing boats competing in the Santurtzi estuary primarily contended with fluctuations caused by currents and wind. In this tenth round of the Euskotren League, Orio started the regatta well, completing the outward leg in the second lane, protected by the current. On the return, they gained the lane from Zumaia and headed towards the shore. However, the Donostiarra team advanced throughout the race, achieving a lead of more than five seconds over Orio. The latter finished in sixth place with a time of 13:45.20.
The fact that Zumaia, positioned at the bottom of the rankings, lost by two seconds to their direct rival Donostiarra, costs them a valuable point. Zumaia completed the course in 13:50.03, finishing in last place.
Despite not having favorable conditions, the Arraun Lagunak team secured a beautiful flag with authority and consolidated their leadership.
