In Zumaia, on the Urola river estuary, the San Telmo trainera awards were held yesterday afternoon, in both women's and men's categories, to bid farewell to the local festivities.

In the XII women's edition, the Arraun Lagunak team from Donostia won the race with great authority, finishing with a time of 11 minutes and 21.18 seconds. San Juan was classified in second place, and the third position went to the Zumaia team, with a mark of 11 minutes and 33.57 seconds. Six boats participated, divided into three heats, completing a 2,500-meter course with four lengths and three turns.
In the XLI men's edition, the Orio team was the fastest, recording a time of 10 minutes and 05.93 seconds. The Getaria team came very close to victory, with a time of 10 minutes and 08.79 seconds. Eight teams competed in four heats, and the Zumaia traineras were not as fortunate, finishing in the last two positions.
These regattas are the traditional closing event of the San Telmo festivities held in Zumaia, and every year they gather numerous rowing fans on the banks of the Urola river.
