In observance of Environment Day tomorrow, June 5th, Azpeitia's Ekoetxea has organized a special weekend with various activities planned for Saturday and Sunday.

Azpeitia's Ekoetxea has prepared a rich program of activities to celebrate Environment Day in the coming days. Throughout the weekend, both Saturday, June 6th, and Sunday, different events will take place for all interested participants. Registration for these activities is required in advance via the website Ekoetxea.eus.
On Saturday, a storytelling session will be held in the morning. Storyteller Manex Beristain will present the tale Hartzak itsasoa edan zuenekoa (The Bear Drank the Sea) from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. This session will explore the water cycle and is aimed at children over 5 years old, free of charge.
Following the storytelling, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, a Lets Clean Up initiative will take place. Attendees will help clean the area around the Urola River, collecting accumulated waste. A snack will be offered to participants at the end of the event.
Two more activities are scheduled for Sunday. From 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, there will be a workshop on making natural glycerin soaps, primarily aimed at children. Through games, they will learn to create natural and eco-friendly soaps.
Subsequently, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, the Aztertu programa (Explore Program) will be held at the Ekoetxea's entrance area. Participants will learn how to measure water health and will receive a kit to test water quality.
