69 Hikers Complete Fourth Stage of Ehunmilak Bira

They completed the route between Lizarrusti and Otzaurte, connecting the natural parks of Aralar and Aizkorri.

A total of 69 hikers from the Lagun Onak mountain club completed the fourth stage of the Ehunmilak Bira on Saturday, May 23rd, between Lizarrusti and Otzaurte.

They linked the natural parks of Aralar and Aizkorri through forests, reaching the summit of Intsusburu. The 20-kilometer route featured 1,000 meters of positive elevation gain, enjoyed under excellent weather conditions in a stunning environment.
The Ehunmilak Bira initiative, which starts and ends in Azpeitia, spans seven stages covering a total of 171 kilometers. Previous stages included Azpeitia-Tolosa in February, Tolosa-Larraitz in March, and Larraitz-Lizarrusti in April.
With the first four stages now completed, the fifth will take place on June 20th, connecting Otzaurte and Beasain over a 36-kilometer route that will ascend the peaks of Aizkorri and Aketegi.
The schedule for the upcoming stages of the Ehunmilak Bira is as follows: June 20th (Otzaurte-Beasain, 36 km, Aizkorri and Aketegi summits), September 19th (Beasain-Elosua, 30 km, Izazpi summit), and October 24th (Elosua-Azpeitia, 25 km, Irukurutzeta and Xoxote summits).
