The 54th Txikito Azkoitia Pelota Championship has begun at the Gurea fronton in Azkoitia. A total of 74 pairs have registered for this year's edition, and they will play matches weekly until the last weekend of June.

The competition is aimed at boys and girls in the pre-benjamin, benjamin, cadet, and children's categories. The first matches were played on Monday in the pre-benjamin category, and the remaining games this week will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, starting at 17:15.

Wednesday's schedule will feature benjamin category matches, while Thursday will see pre-benjamin and cadet category games. The tournament aims to promote the sport of pelota in the town, encouraging youth participation.
