Gorliz is set to gain a new calisthenics park in Ondargane, thanks to an initiative spearheaded by the local PNV. This area, equipped with exercise apparatus, is expected to be completed in the coming months, with the goal of enhancing the physical and social well-being of residents.
The project's objective is to create an inclusive space that encourages outdoor physical activity among people of all ages. This will foster healthy lifestyle habits and strengthen intergenerational coexistence, as it will incorporate specific elements for seniors, with structures designed to safely improve mobility, balance, and muscle strengthening.
The future calisthenics park will feature pull-up bars, parallel bars, rings, stretching zones, and circuits adapted to various difficulty levels. Furthermore, the park's design has considered universal accessibility criteria, including cushioned flooring, clear signage, and rest areas. Informative panels with recommended exercise routines will also be installed, making it easy for all residents to use, regardless of their prior experience.
This action demonstrates that work from the opposition is also capable of generating concrete improvements for Gorliz.
Members of the PNV have emphasized that this project shows that, even from the opposition, when working with seriousness, proposals, and commitment, real progress can be achieved for Gorliz. In this vein, they highlight that
in contrast to those who view politics as confrontation, EAJ-PNV advocates for a useful opposition that unites, proposes, and makes things happen.
Construction is expected to commence in the coming months, with the aim of having the park ready before the end of the year, thereby adding a new public space that will contribute to the physical and social well-being of Ondargane's residents in Gorliz.
