Two Security Guards Attacked at Urduliz Metro Station

The Security Department of the Basque Government has launched an investigation to clarify the events that occurred on Tuesday night.

Two security guards were attacked on Tuesday night at Metro Bilbao's Urduliz station by a group of nine graffiti artists attempting to paint one of the train units.

The incident occurred around 10:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, at the Urduliz station. As reported by Radio Bilbao, a group of nine graffiti artists entered the subway facilities with the intention of painting a train unit.
When the security guards attempted to stop this action, the group assaulted them. Following the attack, the Ertzaintza (Basque Police) and medical services were dispatched to the scene. The guards received immediate attention and were subsequently transported by ambulance to Urduliz Hospital.
Both assaulted security guards have filed formal complaints for their injuries. The Security Department of the Basque Government has confirmed that an investigation has been launched to clarify the events at Urduliz station and identify those responsible.
