One of the festival's main hubs will be the work area, an enclosed space with capacity for 150 teams, where participants can play, compete, and share experiences online for three days. Additionally, there will be an open area called Link Up Plaza, aimed at all citizens, offering concerts, demonstrations, workshops, video games, gastronomy, and other activities.
The program will officially kick off on Friday, June 19th, with an opening ceremony at 12:00 PM. On the same day, activities will include a workshop on 3D pens, championships for Tekken 8, Mario Kart, and FC, a session on modding and artificial intelligence, a talk on creating games for Game Boy, a Fisicomic monologue, and a cinema quiz.
Saturday will be the busiest day. In the morning, there will be a yoga session, a parade by the 501st Legion inspired by the Star Wars universe, and a talk on the social transformation of video games. In the afternoon, the K-Pop Challenge, a digital art workshop, a discussion on social media use and mental health, a cosplay competition, Random Dance, and the video game finals will take place.
On Sunday, a Magic card tournament, a LudoSport demonstration, and family-friendly programming and artificial intelligence workshops offered by 42 Urduliz Bizkaia will be held, among other events.
Urduliz Link Up is a non-profit initiative driven by the Urduliz Link Up association, with sponsorship from the Urduliz City Council. The organizers aim to promote a healthy digital culture, creativity, and community through a family-friendly festival, offering opportunities to share a passion for technology across different generations.
